About Me

Sam Fosler

"Creativity is just connecting things." -Steve Jobs

Although my Bachelor’s degree is in Computer Science, I’ve always made it a point to indulge my inquisitive nature with more than coding and math alone. I participated in philosophy club, took courses in psychology, music, film, and journalism, and took on hobbies like longboarding, climbing, and reading during my time at UW-Madison. Now that I’m out of school, I’ve continued living an active lifestyle, physically and mentally, learning more about myself and the world around me every day.

I believe that balance is the key to success and happiness, and striking that balance is different for everyone. Personally, I work best when I have a structured routine that still allows for variety in content and form. Taking this variety-based approach when navigating any situation opens the door to taking on new perspectives and gleaning meaning from them – often resulting in bridges between concepts and creative solutions.

Like an AI, I’m training my neural network. Making new connections, refining my intuition, and always learning. And I’m bad at drawing hands.

At the present moment, I’m pursuing work opportunities in the fields of IT, cybersecurity, data analysis, research and similar subfields of Computer Science. I’m also interested in project management, process optimization, documentation, and administrative work.

"There is always room for improvement. Any given process can be faster, better documented, integrated more seamlessly, or made more sustainably."
